Eve Lom Morning Time Cleanser

Shaking up my cleanser game. I’ve been loyal to the same cleanser for 10 years now. While it’s a perfectly good daily use gentle cleanser, especially for someone who cleanses morning, pre-gym, post-gym and again before going to bed, it works. However I’m dying to find something new, refreshing and exciting.

I’ve been using Eve Lom Morning Time Cleanser, a refreshing, lighter yet still slightly balmy morning companion to the eponymous cleansing balm which I have used and do quite enjoy. I use it while in a steamy shower, apply a generous amount with a lymphatic draining massage action, leave it for a few minutes (standing in the shower, water running, eyes closed, so it’s also a coordination exercise for me, bonus!), then rinse.

I understand why it’s great for morning as it is very refreshing and exfoliating with papaya enzymes yet imparts moisture back on the skin with a blend of eucalyptus, clove and egyptian chamomile. It does claim to stimulate collagen with vitamin a provided by carrot oil, but it’s a cleanser, so let’s not get carried away with claims of stimulating anything other than clean skin.

What I didn’t get is that squeaky clean feeling so typical with gel-based cleansers, but also not sure it would remove makeup from my oilier skin without using a cleansing gauze as well. All in all, it’s a lovely sensory experience and a nice change from my very clinical usual daily cleanser.
